BROOK’S sister was getting married and she wanted to gift the happy couple with something unique that celebrates them.
GOAL: Create an illustration that reflects the couple’s lives and shared joys.
We decided to create a piece that captured one of their favourite places, a beach down South in WA, with Charlie surfing waves and Kate on the shore reading a book with their dog, Khaleesi.
For this coastal scene I used soft textures and tranquil tones to draw the viewer into this moment of calm. The couple are nestled into the scene, not as the focal point, but instead as added details to resonate personally with them.
The final artwork was printed, framed, and gifted, where it’s now displayed in the newlyweds home, receiving positive feedback from the family.
