PODCAST MERCH and MARKETING
COMPLETELY ARBORTRARY is a podcast hosted by arborist and environmental educator Casey Clapp and his tree-curious friend Alex Crowson to discuss all things trees.
They approached me to create an illustration that could be used for an upcoming marketing campaign and merch release.
GOAL: Create a versatile illustration that connects nature lovers with the podcast.
Using inspiration from things you’d find on a forest hike, I designed a flat-lay texture of sticks, pinecones, rocks, leaves, and mushrooms.
By creating a minimalist design it allows for versatility and adaptability while inviting people to easily connect with the theme, even at a casual glance.
The final artwork was used in a marketing campaign for a special live event and released as merch, which has sold out and received a positive audience response.
