PODCAST MERCH and MARKETING

COMPLETELY ARBORTRARY is a podcast hosted by arborist and environmental educator Casey Clapp and his tree-curious friend Alex Crowson to discuss all things trees.

They approached me to create an illustration for a local marketing campaign and merch release.

GOAL: Create an illustration that sparks curiosity with nature-lovers and connects them with the podcast.

We combined two character-driven concepts to create this tranquil scene that pulls you into a playful world of trees and nature.

The warm central characters provide a focal point to connect with the podcasts logo, building familiarity with the brand.

The surrounding forest meadow is designed with soft colours and textures to invite a passerby to connect with this imaginative world and the calm and curious mood of the podcast.

The final artwork was used for a merch release and local marketing campaign, recording an increase in new followers and treemuim membership during the campaign.
